Brighit's Family

My name is Brighit Fernandez. I am 18 years old. I am studying finance and international business in Universidad Santiago de Cali. I live in the neighborhood Ciudad 2000 in the south of Cali with my family. I love being with my family and I hate soursop juice.

I live with my parents and my brothers. My mother’s name is Angela. She is 46 years old, she is an interior designer. She loves to cook; she is always making different dishes because she learned gastronomy in Comfandi. She has 2 brothers and a sister. She likes to teach what she has learned and she is also an art teacher. My mother does not like cats, but she loves being with her family.

My father’s name is Ferney. He is 52 years old; he works at Cerveceria del Valle. He’s an electronic engineer. He studied at UNAD, he’s been working at the company for 25 years. He has 3 brothers and a sister. He loves to help others. My dad doesn’t like to be told lies, but he loves to listen to music and to dance. My parents have been living together for 25 years.

My sister’s name is Leidy. She is 25 years old; she is studying a degree in preschool, she loves children. My sister does not like drinking liquor and soursop juice. She likes to swim and she loves dogs.

My brother’s name is Brayan, he is 15 years old, he is still in school in 9th grade and he loves to play soccer. He doesn’t like seafood, but he likes to go to the movies.

My house has 4 floors. On the first floor, it is the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, a small bar, and a social bathroom. On the second floor, they are the rooms, a mini-study, and two bathrooms. On the third floor, there is another room, a bathroom with a bath tub, a balcony, a place to exercise and a desk. On the fourth floor, it is the terrace and laundry room.

In our free time, we usually go to the country house or for a walk, when we don’t do that we eat, we go to the river, or to the cinema, we have always liked to go out as a family and share very beautiful moments, we also go every Sunday to thank god for everything.

My routine and my family’s routine starts early in the morning; first we wake up around 8 a.m., then we have family breakfast and we pray. We usually take an early bath because we have classes. At 11:30 a.m. My mom makes lunch, while my dad organizes things and my brothers and I attend classes; then we sit down for lunch together at 1 p.m. After that, we watch movies or series on Netflix at 5 pm. At night everyone prepares their food, after everyone finishes dinner, we pray and thank God for the day he gave us and for allowing us to be in a family. Then we sit down to talk about everything a little bit that happens at approximately 10 pm, and finally we brush our teeth, we put on our pajamas and at 11:30 p.m. we go to sleep.
