Juan Jose’s Family

My name is Juan Jose Miller Micolta, but everybody calls me Juanjo. I am seventeen years old. I was born on May 20th 2002 in Cali-Colombia. I am a student. At this moment, I study physical education at Santiago de Cali University. I am medium height, I have brown eyes and blond hair. I am friendly and funny but very shy.

I have a big family but at home I only live with my father, and my mother. We live in a nice house in Jamundi-Valle. Our house is located in a good neighborhood called “El Jardin”.

My father, Hering Miller Gallego, is an excellent dad. He is fifty four years old. But he looks younger. People think he is forty or forty-five years old. He is an official worker at Jamundi municipality. He is tall and handsome. He is intelligent but serious. My father wakes up at 6:00 o’clock, he goes to work at 8:00 and comes back home before dinner. He is a hard worker.

My mother is so beautiful. Her name is Marisol Micolta Dosman. She was born in Cali, but she has lived all her life here in Jamundi. She is forty-three years old. She is an excellent housewife. She is friendly, funny but very strict. My mother stays at home all day and does many chores.

My dad and my mom are my friends. They teach me how to be a good person. I have an excellent relationship with them. They have been in all the special moments of my life.

Other members of my family are my maternal grandparents Luis Emilio Micolta and Estella Dosman. They live in a beautiful farm located in the rural zone of Jamundi. My parents and I visit them on weekends and we share delicious food prepared by my mom and my grandma. My aunt Irma Ines, my uncle Diego Fernando and my cousins Juan Felipe, Maria Paula and Juan Pablo live nearby, we see each other often and we share special moments.

My paternal grandma is Elvia Gallego. She lives with my uncle Robert in a neighborhood called “Portal de Jamundi”. It is near my house.  My parents and I visit her on special dates.

I love my family and they love me too. We do many things, for example, at home, we have breakfast and dinner together every day, we watch TV, we eat fast food some days of the week because I like hamburger and French fries.

On weekends, we visit typical food restaurants in Potrerito, it is a small town located near Jamundi in the rural zone. We go to shopping malls, we also go to the cinema, and we share an ice-cream. We love to celebrate all the special dates when it is possible. We have fun all the time!

I am so proud of my family. They are the most important for me!
